Iteneraries: Day Trips
Itinerary One: Hike and Ride
Start your day with a hike through Sweetwater Creek State Park. Venture down the Red Trail to catch the Historic New Manchester Mill Ruins in the brisk morning sunlight. Tour the Visitors Center to learn about the important history of the ruins and other activities the park offers. Then Hop on up to Frog Rock Brewery to rehydrate yourself with Electrolyte Beer and grab some lunch. Afterwards, skip down to Six Flags Over Georgia to catch some rides.
Itinerary Two: Cycle and Cast
Start your day with an early ride on the Silver Comet Trail. You can rent bikes through our friends at Comet Trail Cycles. Once those legs are good and tired, come refresh yourself with a cold Frog Rock brew. Grab a four pack (or more) to go, and head down to Sweetwater Creek State Park to catch golden hour fishing the lake shore.
Itinerary Three: Brewery Hop!
South Cobb County is home to two wonderful breweries. Skint Chestnut Brewing Company is located just minutes to our north in Downtown Powder Springs. Whichever one you choose to hit first doesn’t matter to us, as long as you give us both some love! You’ll be supporting Georgia’s Small Craft Breweries so that’s a win/win.
Itinerary Four: Paddle and Float *Coming Soon*
Stay tuned for a kayak excursion down Sweetwater Creek. Start at the Brewery and get out at Sweetwater Creek State Park. Transportation services will be provided.
Itinerary Five: Explore Downtown Austell
Spend a day dining and playing in Downtown Austell. Choose from a variety of great restaurants to dine in or carry out for either lunch or dinner. Take a stroll through Louise Suggs Park and climb up to get your photo on Frog Rock (the actual rock) or Play Disc Golf at Frog Rock Disc Golf Course. Finish the day by joining us for a few pints at the brewery and take in the scene of our back yard, where you’re almost bound to catch some live music performance at the bandstand.
